Bujingai: The Forsaken City
Bujingai: The Forsaken City is a third-person action game following Lau Wong, a swordsman who returns from exile to an alternate, demon-infested version of China to confront his former master and stop an invasion of dark spirits. Combining sword combat with magic spells and acrobatic wall-running, wire-fu style movement, players chain together sword strikes, elemental magic, and aerial combos across stylized, ruined cityscapes. The game features a moody, gothic-fantasy art style, motion-captured combat choreography, and a soundtrack contributed by Gackt, who also voices and lends his likeness to the protagonist. It stands out among PS2-era action titles for its emphasis on fluid, acrobatic swordplay and cinematic presentation.
