Darkwatch
Darkwatch: Curse of the West is a 2005 first-person shooter developed by High Moon Studios and published by Capcom for the PlayStation 2. The game blends Western, horror, and steampunk genres into a uniquely atmospheric action experience. Players step into the boots of Jericho Cross, an outlaw gunslinger in the late 19th-century American frontier who accidentally frees an ancient vampire lord named Lazarus while robbing a train — and gets bitten in the process. Recruited into the Darkwatch, a secret organization dedicated to fighting supernatural evil, Jericho must hunt down Lazarus before his own transformation into a full vampire is complete. As the story unfolds, players make moral choices that steer Jericho toward the light or deeper into darkness, unlocking different vampire powers along the way. Armed with an arsenal of period-inspired weapons enhanced with supernatural firepower — including revolvers, crossbows, and rail rockets — and riding an undead horse across haunted frontier landscapes, Darkwatch delivers relentless action wrapped in one of the PS2 era's most distinctive genre fusions.
